I would assume that just a new crew would come aboard.
That's correct. A new cast replaces them.
In the months leading up to a contract ending, there's already a new cast training in Miami. Then in the last week or two the new cast joins the ship to observe, and then they hand it off.

It kind of depends on the cabana host.
Some hosts will just attribute whatever drinks consumed to whoever had a drink package and look the other way who actually drank them. Others may just simply divide it all equally.
I have yet to see a consistent approach (unless no one has a drink package, then they'll ask who to charge drinks to).

I suspect shoreside refers to the casino host that works at headquarters.

There isn't a general answer. Every new ship is different because of various factors (supply chain, acts of God, etc). It's impossible to provide any kind of guarantee or prediction this far in advance.

Captain Tony did also mention that Royal hopes to officially announce this new smaller ship before the end of this year.
That's consistent with that Royal has hinted at: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/01/05/royal-caribbean-ceo-new-smaller-cruise-ship-could-be-announced-2024

Harmony from Galveston is a good value, but yes, it's an hour drive from Houston to Galveston. It used to be a bigger problem, but with Lyft/Uber it's far easier now.

A live blog with @Lovetocruise2002 started more than 3 weeks before the cruise? Sounds about right

Do you think there will be wow bands on Icon?
I will be surprised if they have them, but not sure yet.

As usual, @SpeedNoodles is correct.
There are definitely safes in the Icon cabins. I saw one with my own eyes, but it's definitely in a different location.

Radiance has a Schooner Bar, which has a piano. But nothing dueling.

There's nothing to report, per se.
When you get to the terminal and they ask where the other person is, you just say, "not here". That's it.
-
Probably, but again, you're breaking the rules. They have cameras, bar supervisors, etc.

Agreed, it's an old cruise tradition that can go away IMO.

The reason to do one-way car rentals should be because you want a car to get around to go somewhere beyond airport, hotel, and cruise terminal. That or you got a heck of a good deal.
First thing to do is use the Lyft fare estimator to figure out roughly what that would cost you. Open the lyft app and use the addresses of each to figure it out.
The ideal scenario with a car rental is you'll go see a tourist site, go out to dinner somewhere, or otherwise utilize the car. This is especially helpful if you're flying in early and have a day to spend in the area.

The surface lot at Terminal 18 is fantastic. Tampa's valet parking arguably even better, but for a big ship terminal, it doesn't get better than T18 for self parking.

Pinging @CHart because we were talking about this issue the other day

I think you might be underestimating the redundant safety measures of Crown's Edge and the company's general risk assessment.
Nothing is perfect, so I'm not debating that there's a chance, but I think accidental deaths resulting from dumb decisions as opposed to a regulated harness system are not anywhere the same.
