  2. While not nearly as detailed as @twangster post, here's my live blog when we stayed in Pan Pacific and then cruised out of Vancouver: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/06/06/serenade-of-the-seas-live-blog-day-1-embarkation-day
  3. That's not a bad idea too, but I think they're primary idea is: New cruisers on 3/4 nighters Established cruisers on 7 nighters on Icon class. Other ships in the fleet are a good second option.
  4. I really don't think such a forecast, if it exists, is useful. Not only are there few weather stations in the middle of the Atlantic to help formulate such a forecast, the North Atlantic is notoriously unpredictable. I think whatever the forecast would be is like a @smokeybandit post here. You read it, squint, and then think "that may or may not happen".
  5. In the Caribbean, I'd much rather have full enclosed so it can be climate controlled. It's not so much the issue of heat or a breeze, but the humidity. Being enclosed means it's not super sticky. Makes the Solarium enjoyable even if you aren't in the pool
  6. It's the same as The Key. Under 6 is free, but kids 6 and above cost the same
  7. Incorrect. The first cancellations were announced this past Wednesday, less than 7 days ago https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2025/04/15/royal-caribbean-canceling-again-visits-private-destination-haiti That form of onboard credit is refundable so at the end of the cruise, unused money would be refunded back to your credit card. Also, the port cancellations have been pre-cruise, so those "thousands on excursions and cabanas" have been refunded pre-cruise.
  8. Same for my European cruises. They labeled it as an European excursion sale, and it's a 25% discount on almost every tour
  9. Yes, there sometimes can be just one ship at CocoCay, but it's becoming rarer and rarer Correct. Royal wont tell you which days have which ships

  11. I don't know the means, but I recall my travel agent years ago attempting to ask for Royal to facilitate this. As I recall, it didnt work.
  12. Amen. Or how when they do load the real sailings in, they seem to get loaded in piece meal. They don't have batch/mass publish functionality?
  13. A lot of kids on cruise ships isn't new. Royal has always been a family cruise line. There have been LOTS and LOTS Of kids going back decades, well before KSF deal was a thing.
  14. If you didnt do this, basically it wouldnt work on the island once you were far enough away from the ship's antenna?
  15. Correct. April is basically the beginning and end of their releases each year
  16. I believe Mr. Heald started that position pre-social media days? I think perhaps Royal doesn't have such a position because it's not deemed necessary in their view. I could be wrong, but I'm not aware of any other cruise line with such a position.
  17. Weird. I'm on the sailing before you and we have Molde scheduled. Hoping it holds

  19. I forgot how bad the traffic can be in Miami. I agree, probably not worth doing this trick in Miami
  20. Inflatable car seats are a great option. Cheap to buy on Amazon and they deflate so it's easy to pack.
  21. If your sister (their parents) are there, you dont need that form. That form is only sort of necessary if you are traveling without their parents. Just be sure to check in at the same time so the kids can point to who their parents are
