onboard credit from the credit card
BigKarl replied to Veronica Michelle's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
My RC Mastercard OBC IS refundable. I simply go to guest services on the last evening and any unused credits are treated as cash and has been given to me. I once had a guest services rep. freak out because my cash out was more than $1K. Be careful if you have any promotional OBC (Non Refundable) to use as well as "Refundable" credits because they once used my RC Mastercard credits (Refundable) first and then told me I no longer have any credits I can "cash out" and left my account with $400 uncashable promotional credits. -
11 cruises, still in GTY. Until 2023, we had the assisgnation several months before the cruise (for example, I already know the cabin of my cruise next September). But for 2025 cruises, no information. For the 11 cruises, the cabin only changed one number because we were in B2B. We believe that Royal has moved the cabins closer to avoid a long baggage transport.

Going to be crashing that party (if they let me)-Haha

Yeah I remember asking you how strenuous you thought it might be! I will definitely let you know how it goes! Jane

Tonite dinner was Izumi. There is no hibachi on EX so it’s always sushi only….which is fine with me. I’m not a fan of the hibachi menu (or the “show”) anyway. This was night #2 of our 3 night dining package. Chops on night #9, the last night. Insider tip: if you see chopsticks nearby, this is probably NOT guacamole. We went to the casino after dinner (who’s surprised) and it was a mixed bag. Dan and I played some Dancing Drums (b/c the pigs were all occupied) and we lost a little bit. Dan went and played some video poker and won while I played some UTH and lost. Ugh. Back in the room now. Tomorrow is St Kitts (again) and we have no plans to get off. Today was another visit to Grenada and we just got off for a little while and browsed the terminal shops. I bought Dan a couple of new Caribbean shirts which he DESPERATELY needed. He’s been wearing the same sad ones we bought in Aruba probably 12 years ago ! Most of them are missing buttons and I’m a terrible wife who has never fixed them for him. It’s easier just to buy some new shirts ! He now has 2 new ones…

I think a lot of people ask for window. Near railing, in a corner, on the end of a row, banquet half booth/chair, etc are all probably easier to get. If you are a large person "on the end of a row" help's to not have to fit between 2 tables close together to get to your seat.

I'm looking at Carnival's (can I say that?) excursion site, which usually gives a good idea for what is generally available, and it looks like there are very few for St. Croix.

Exactly. (And almost word for word) Also, I get it every single time.

How Much Independence is Too Much? (with a Radiance prelude)

I would never use a bag that had previously been used with firearms or ammunition of any kind. Just too many things can go wrong. Sniffing dogs, for example. Why add that risk of suspicion and attention. -
What did you book for the Annual Prime Cruise?
LandstromCruise replied to Ampurp85's topic in Casino Royale
I booked Wonder on Aug 11. Wanted to do the 4th but it was on the naughty list. I did upgrade to GTY neighborhood balcony for $146. Taking my youngest son as a special dad and son trip since I’ve previously booked up all my wife’s PTO -
We like the hotel cluster around Hwy 1/SE 17th street. It's near the north end of Port Everglades, and has all the restaurants, wine shops and "oh @#$# I forgot something" stores you'll need. And a LA Fitness, if you're into that sort of thing. We prefer Hyatt Place - really big rooms (you could probably sleep 8 to a room), breakfast, and even a "cruise luggage tag station" (a stand with staplers and pens). I think Matt reviewed a couple of other hotels in the area way back when.

@mom2mybugs I have that same excursion booked for December. Please post your thoughts!

They just may not be up yet. We are headed there in June on rhapsody and going on a “rainforest hike and beach”. There are 21 different things listed (some repeats at different times or different combos). Jane

No guarantee you get what you ask for of course but no harm in trying. I know the 2-top rows you're talking about and I get it. Last cruise (Wonder in March) we were one 2-top removed from a window (after my request) so it was kind of like being at a 4-top with another couple but fortunately they were nice and we got along and chatted for a while.

How Much Independence is Too Much? (with a Radiance prelude)
Ampurp85 replied to AshleyDillo's topic in Live Blogs
I saw that story about the ammo and was like wow. But 12 years seems excessive. -
I’ve never even thought about requesting location…just the 2-top. Now I will definitely add on window or edge near railing. I hated being smooshed in between a bunch of other 2 -tops. They might just as well sat us together they were that close. Jane

It's a solid seabed, but had no issue walking in bare feet. It's not sharp and very few sudden drops. -

Oh my word! Checking and double checking our back packs, they do in fact accompany us to the range on occasion. So sad for this man, what an unfortunate and horrible mistake. I'm glad the particulars were shared, just wow!! -

I will have to file that away for next time :). I was with elderly family who did not want to walk far so we stopped as soon as we hit the first patch of beach. Thanks! -
I noticed it’s a bit rocky at Turks by the port but if you venture up the beach a bit it is probably up there with the best white sand beaches in the Caribbean (no rocks).

I agree. DR is an excursion must (unless you only want to float in the lazy river) there is not beach right there or anything good. Grand Turk we had a great day for mostly free (we bought food at margaritaville). The beach is beautiful, it was a bit more rocks than I anticipated but it is so clear you can see them ok. There is a starbucks for free wifi , shops, the pool and beach. You cannot take shells or rocks home, they will confiscate them. I saw a table and people getting their bags pulled aside. There was another ship in port with us and we did not feel like anything was crowded. HTH We went on a a Sunday and the Flowrider was down. I'm not sure if that is norm for Sundays or that was a fluke for some reason.
