Matt's Trip Report

12Sep2011
Ship:
Freedom of the Seas
Duration:
7 nights
Cabin:
Balcony - E1

Variety of food options on the ship along with the size of the ship.  While not as big as Oasis or Allure of the Seas, it's still a great ship that offers a lot.

What was your motivation to take a cruise?:
It was over a year since our last cruise and I needed to take another cruise. This was also our first cruise with our daughter, who was 8 months old at the time of the cruise.
What was a highlight of your cruise?:
Excursion in Falmouth, Jamaica at the Hilton Rose Hall resort. Stunning beauty and we had a great time enjoying the resort's amenities. Also managed to have a a great time shopping and dining in Cozumel, Mexico.
What did you dislike about your cruise?:
Too much emphasis on things you can buy/do that cost extra. Cost of specialty restaurants is now too high ($30 per person).
Did you do any excursions?:
Cabanas at Labadee Hilton Rose Hall day pass at Falmouth Seven Mile Beach at Grand Cayman
How was your cabin?:
Excellent cabin. We were concerned about noise because we were near the elevators but that was never an issue at all. Room was consistently clean (thanks to our cabin attendant). Hard to beat the view!
How was the food on the ship?:
Some food was very good while other food was mediocre. Overall I was happy with the food and I found the variety of food to be quite good.
Would you cruise again on this ship?:
Yes
