Daniel Capella's Trip Report
That was my third cruise with Royal Caribbean International. Before embarking Vision of the Seas, I has been two times on Splendour of the Seas, and another on Mariner of the Seas, always in South America, and on weeklong itineraries, apart from being in another cruise lines. This time, my family and I choseed Vision of the Seas to a mini-cruise, with only one city of call, and one day at sea. In spite of being a mini-cruise, we bought the travel waiting for the same standard in service. Unfortunately, we don't find that. I would say that it was my worst cruise with the company.
I really enjoyed the ship, in spite of prefering the Splendour layouts, but she is needing of more attention. There's a lot to be done in maintenance, specially in the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge, wich was not much used during our cruise, but is a quite beautiful place. What most more impressed me in this cruise was the difference from my last cruises with Royal Caribbean. The cruise was good, but we feel so much the difference in service, food and even the crew organization and capacity. In Brazil, when a ship comes to do one entire season in the country, law forces the ship to hire at least 25% of brazilians for the crew.
My cruise was taken two weeks before Vision arrive for the season. So, I can't teel if the difference that we feel is due to the adaptation period of the crew, or if this have something with the duration of the cruise.
