What are your advices for life on board with an 8 months baby ?
It's our first cruise ! We will be with our daughters, 4 years old and 8 months on the Brilliance of the seas for a 10 days cruise to eastern Canada. What are your advices for life on board with an 8 months baby ?? I think babysitting would not be available because the baby is too young ? Can we bring her with us to look at the shows at night ? Are there some places on the ship we cannot go with the baby ? thanks

I've been in same boat (no pun intended) as you. We sailed with a 9 month old on Freedom of the Seas last year.
The in-room babysitting does require the child to be of a certain age but you can still have fun with your little one. If there isn't a toddler friendly pool, consider purchasing a a blow up pool and letting your baby go in there (kids must be toilet trained to go in pools unless they have a baby pool like Oasis, Allure and Freedom of the Seas have). You can put the blow up pool on the balcony or even bring it to the pool deck.
Try the parades, kids that age love to see all the bright colors and enjoy the music.
The ports of call are really where you can have some fun with your child because there are plenty of beaches to get all the water time your kid will need. We even brought ours to an all-inclusive resort that had a great pool for her to splash in to her heart's content.
You can bring your kid to the shows, so long as she can sit through the shows. We brought ours to a couple and she enjoyed it for a bit. Just sit at the end in case you need to make a quick exit.
Other than the pool and adult pool area (solarium), not many places you cant bring her.
Have a great cruise!
